You may have noticed I haven’t been as active as I used to be, and the truth is it’s because I’m slowly starting to outgrow using The Sims as a creative outlet. This makes it harder to release updates since, until I recreate the mod from scratch, the only way to update it is to edit the XML or SimData files directly.īut there’s also another reason. For those who don’t remember or weren’t around at the time: early last year my computer had an unexpected BSoD that corrupted most of the files I used to create Go to School with, and unfortunately I didn’t have backups (let this be a lesson to backup your files as soon as it crosses your mind). The first is related to the BSoD (blue screen of death) problem I had last year. You’re probably wondering why it took this long to release an update, and it’s actually a mixture of two reasons. To update, just replace the old version with the new one. I’ve updated Go to School to fix some bugs that were introduced in the November (Cats and Dogs) patch:
